Whether you’re a committed full-time vegan or simply making the most of Veganuary we have a whole host of tasty meals and treats to offer you! Our winter menu has a range of new offerings and we’ve ensured vegans are well catered for, not just for Veganuary but for the whole of the season, and beyond. We even have a new dedicated vegan menu to make choosing even easier. Deciding exactly which delicious option to go for will be your only challenge! Whether it’s your breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cream tea or just good old gorgeous cake we have it covered…

 

Our Vegan full breakfast makes a hearty start to the day with sourdough toast, 2 vegan sausages,  mushrooms, baked beans, half a grilled tomato, wilted spinach, and 2 hash browns! All served with a pot of tea or cup of coffee – add oat or soya milk if you like!

 

There’s no less than 8 lunch dishes available on our winter menu, with a wide range of options to suit your palate and your appetite. Our sandwich options include:

Roasted vegetable, smoked vegan cheese and homemade basil pesto.

Moroccan roasted vegetable with dates, apricots and hummus.

Veggie breakfast sandwich: vegan sausage, hash browns, vegan cheese and baked beans.

 

All sandwiches are served hot or cold and accompanied with salad and crisps. We also have homemade soup, warming homemade Tuscan Bean & Barley Stew, Nachos served with homemade Chilli-non-carne, or Mac and Cheese or if you fancy something lighter, hummus served with bread croutes for dipping!

 

Vegan Afternoon Tea has long since been a popular choice at Mad Hatters. Available daily, with a reservation made at least 48hrs in advance of your visit. The vegan option is a no-compromise alternative to our classic, with vegan finger sandwiches, homemade vegan scones, served with vegan margarine, vegan whipped cream and Jam. Alongside delicate homemade Vegan peitits fours. All served on vegan crockery to complete the experience (instead of bone china).

 

Homemade vegan cupcakes & slices are available on our daily menu, enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans alike! There’s always at least 3 on our daily menu, often more, with often 6 or 7 vegan cakes and slices available at weekends. Be warned they can sell out fast, so come in early or make a booking to make sure you don’t miss out! We can even serve your cake with a scoop of vegan ice cream! Delivered from our local ice cream makers Backford Belles. 

 

In case that’s not enough, we have some gorgeous new products from the White Rabbit Kitchen, our in-house brand of plant-based food for retail. We have a Spiced Apple & Ginger Chutney, a Boozy Strawberry & Gin Jam and a Blueberry, Lemon & Earl Grey Compote coming soon!
